Eyeing the girl, Valkyrie said calmly, "It would hardly be decent to have her personal effects left lying around, would it? I didn't say she was to keep them here, merely that I wouldn't have them drifting around the room like so much flotsam and jetsom." Her odd accent seemed to add a humor to her words that wasn't altogether intended and she smirked slightly. "When such things are allowed, you'll be the first to know."

Enoch walked into the training building, gaze cautious but relaxed. So far, his stay with the Guardians had been irritatingly easy. Unlike with the Ukwtakun, no one here knew just how intelligent he was. Thus, his classes were so easy he could do them in his sleep, and the only difficult part was the physical and skills training. It was hard to pretend that he had little control over his skills, though, and he wondered if any of his instructors suspected anything. He hoped not, for if they found out about him, he'd likely be killed or at least beaten within an inch of his life. It wasn't the Guardians he was worried about, but the Ukwtakun. His instructors were merciless, and he could only imagine what would happen if he failed this mission.
He eyed a group of people inside the large room, two trainees near the bunks, and one adult, apparently an instructor of some sort. All women, he thought angrily. Of course. He stopped roughly a yard away from the instructor, suddenly unsure. No one had quite explained to him how basic training worked, and he didn't want to risk even one mistake. He wanted to blurt out all the questions running through his mind, but doubted that would be wise. Instead, he stood there, almost at attention, waiting for someone to give him orders, or at least notice him. For now, though, they all seemed rather preoccupied with each other and whatever happened to be going on just then. He sighed inwardly. Are there no men here?
||Enoch's kinda sexist. . . If anyone has a problem with it, let me know and I'll change that.||

Valkyrie turned her gaze to the boy and beckoned him over. "You'll be Leoncia, then?" she said, having been waiting for the rest of the students to arrive. She gave him a quick and thorough look over. His eyes, her instincts seemed to rise up and she felt the familiar tingling of her senses.
She had no 'sixth sense' as it was called, just very well trained eyes and even if she couldn't name what she picked up, she normally knew about it. She put herself at ease, however. It would be impossible for someone untrustworthy to get in. It was foolish to think otherwise. "Welcome," she said somewhat curtly. It wasn't intended to be rude, merely the shutting down of emotions that she used to keep herself from making unwanted remarks or showing untoward feelings.

Noam walked into the training room barracks behind a boy he didn't recognize. Pleasantries were all well and good, but Noam didn't care much at this point in time, He was too preoccupied. If I treat him too nice now that new instructor might make him hurt later on. Noam justified his lack of interest. He saw the discussion going on between the trainer and his sister. He didn't like the look on the new female supervisor/weapons trainer's face. He didn't like the look on his sister's face. Superior officer or not, brotherly instinct kicked in. "Sorry to interrupt ma'am." Noam addressed Valkyrie. "I was ordered to take Ms. Levin with me. She'll be away for the rest of the evening, as per Dr. Kerr's orders. She'll be back in enough time to get sleep for the first day of training tomorrow." Noam knew that Dr. Kerr would back him, although he hoped he didn't have to. For some reason Dr. Kerr seemed to trust him. Noam still couldn't figure it out. Regardless, there could be consequences for removing Talin from a situation as though it were ordered. He turned to Talin. "Come with me. We have some business in the rec building." ||There is a conflict of timelines here. Some say training starts today and others tomorrow. It seems like the first mention was tomorrow, so I'm sticking to that. Sounds like it is evening before first day.||

||It's all good, I just deleted my post. ||
Tali bit her lip until it bled. Why couldn't she just keep her mouth shut instead of making the instructor more irritated with her? "No, ma'am, I suppose it wouldn't." As she said this, she looked up and saw a new boy walk in, followed by. . . "Noam?" She blurted, looking confused. "What are you doing here?" She'd heard him say Dr. Kerr sent him, but how could that be? Surely he wasn't here to talk her out of going through basic training. Or was he? She swallowed and walked over to her brother. "Ma'am? May I. . . er, may I go?"
||Ahaha, her name is Tali, bro. And yeah, that was my understanding, that it was the day before. Or something like that.||

Lifting a brow at the boy, she nearly allowed herself to fall into pointless speculation as to the causes for this sudden withdrawal. However, Valkyrie was trained not to question authority and Dr. Kerr certainly counted as authority. "Miss Levin, you're free to go," she said, not much worried about it. If the girl wasn't returned as promised in time to get enough rest, she could talk to Dr. Kerr, but for now she would go on the boy's word. He was an honest one, by all accounts, and she saw now cause to question him.

Tali would have grinned, but she was too worried about why Noam was there. She usually liked to spend time with her brother, but the worry was making her stomach knot up and her hand's shake. "T-thank you," she told Valkyrie, before turning to her brother. "Let's go, I guess." Her eyes asked the question her moth couldn't. What's going on?

Enoch came forward when the instructor beckoned him, and offered a nod in reply to her question. He found little reason to speak unless she asked him a question that couldn't be answered with a yes or a no. He was a boy of few words, and he hoped she didn't take that as disrespect. Really, though, he wasn't extremely worried. After all, from what he'd seen of the Guardians, punishments were fairly lax. Laps around the track or extra work was nothing compared to what he was used to. Honestly, he was almost grateful for the lax manner of the Guardians compared to the Ukwtakun. It gave him more of a chance to focus on his mission and obtain the information he needed.
He bristled under the woman's gaze, but didn't say anything or show his anger and discomfort. Realizing he should probably say something to keep from arousing suspicion, he spoke in English distorted by a fairly thick accent. "Where am I to bunk?"

Valkyrie's eyes returned to the boy and she gestured to the room to her left. "In there are the bunks, you may pick whichever suits you so long as it doesn't already have an occupant. In there," she pointed to the other door, "are the showers." He was decidedly stiff in manner but his attitude was less bothersome to her than that of the girls who couldn't control their emotions if they tried.

||I'm confused. I thought they were in the room with the bunks? Whoops, I must have screwed up a bunch of posts, then. ><||
Enoch nodded slowly. "Thank you," he said, unsure of what else to say. He made his way to where she had indicated the bunks were, and picked one on the far end, away from the occupied bunks. Hopefully, he could get through the three-month training without having to pretend to be friends with anyone. He wasn't even friends with anyone back "home," so how could he expect himself to make friends here, or even pretend to? After all, how could you pretend to do what you had no experience doing? He sighed as he sat down on the edge of the bunk. So far, he's managed to steer clear of most of the other students, but how would he manage when they were all staying in the same room?
Think of the mission, he told himself silently. Perhaps if you made some so-called friends, then you could get more information. He scowled at the thought, but promised himself that he would at least interact with another trainee, provided the trainee was a boy and not some emotional girl.

Valkyrie turned to Natalie and said, "I trust that you're capable of finding your way around? This is your second time in this training course." She didn't wait for a response, "I'll be here first thing in the morning and expect to see you all awake and alert. I'll count on you to make sure that Miss Levin finds this out." She turned and walked out to leave the room and find out what Mr. Dangerfield had wanted. Now... where had he said his office was? Oh yeah, he hadn't said. Great. Now what? ||Since I honestly have no clue where to post this 'meeting' I'll just wait for further instruction.||

OoC; The bunks are in the main room. It's just a building with bunks, bathrooms, showers, and the office attatched. Desks and chairs can be brought it if/when needed. (Less places to hide stuff)
BiC; Natalie nodded in reply to Valkyrie's orders, "Yes, ma'am." she said, pulling the underwear off of her head and cramming the rest of her belongings back into the duffle bag. When she was done she shoved it under the bunk, hoping no one would notice and stood up. After she had looked around the room, she walked over towards Enoch, "Hey, I'm Natalie." she said, looking at the young man, "Ah. You have a great memory." she said, shrugging her shoulders and grinning. "I bet you have fun messing with people." she laughed, "So, do you want to be partners? I haven't seen any other kids around her that I really want to spend three months with." she rolled her eyes, lowering her voice she said, "This is my second time through, I can help you get through easier than you could with any of the other first timers." Without waiting for a reply she pointed at her bunk, "I live down there." she said, "You could move closer if you wanted."
OoC; I'm not being despie, you can decline if you want. xD

Enoch watched in curiosity as the girl shoved the bag under the bed, then looked around as if worried someone might have seen. Stupid, he thought, inwardly shaking his head. Someone was bound to see it eventually, and when they did, she would be in twice as much trouble as she should otherwise. He had to refrain from rolling his eyes as she approached him. He stood as she did so, using the six inches he had on her in attempt to appear at least somewhat intimidating. Maybe then, she would leave him alone, but he doubted it. When she mentioned his memory, he flinched. "What did you say?" He wanted to demand, perhaps even shove her back for good measure, but he merely closed his eyes and breathed deeply. No need to arouse suspicion, he reminded himself.
Once he was calm, he opened his eyes and stared down at her. "I do not know how you know that, but I do not 'mess with people' as you say." He sighed and looked around the room. "I do not have any intention of moving closer to anyone or partnering with anyone." Remembering that he was supposed to be somewhat nice, he added, "Thank you anyway."

Natalie rolled her eyes, "You have to have a partner for basic training. Better to partner up with me then that snotty Tali or one of the wimpy boys." she said, "But hey, that's okay. I really don't care if you fail basic training." she spat out the word fail as if it were poison, "You don't know how hard it is to come through here a second time and have everyone laugh at you and feel sorry for you." she sighed, "Hopefully you won't have to." she said, turning to go back to her bunk, "My offer still stands if you ever decide to stop being full of yourself."
She walked back to her bunk and picked up her duffle, removing her cell phone and the pair of underwear that Lokai had ordered her to wear on her head. She shoved the two items under her mattress and quickly marched over to the door. Pushing it open she flung it out as hard as she could. "There." she muttered, rolling her eyes and returning to her bunk.

Enoch merely stared at her, a mixture between confused and irritated. All he had done was decline her offer. Of course, he hadn't worshiped the ground she stood upon, but why should he for a hormonal girl? And, anyway, he had told the truth. He had no intention of moving closer or choosing a partner, even if it was required. He preferred to work alone, and if the instructors wished to partner him with someone, they could do so on their own. And, if in the end he was forced to choose, it would be a boy he chose, not a stupid, emotional girl. He sighed and shook his head. There would be other boys, wouldn't there?
