Whistles drifted up from the jock table as Rebecca walked by. Gritting her teeth, Rebecca gave a roll of her eyes. Just her luck that her Phys Ed teacher would send them running laps...just as the football team was walking by. She'd easily outrun every other girl in class -three laps was easy compared to basic training requirements- and had earned some unwanted attention from the jocks.
Ignoring the invitations from the guys, and politely excusing herself from the girls on the track team, she located Eli and made her way over to him. "So how's your first day of school been so far?" she asked, then stopped when she saw his expression, "Not so good?"
Without meaning to her eyes turned in the direction of the jocks. They were all staring, obviously confused by her choice of company. They'd figure out sooner or later that Eli was her twin brother...she just hoped that this wouldn't make the rest of the day even worse for him.
"Miss Weller?" came a woman's voice, making Rebecca jump.
She looked up to see her english teacher standing over her, a paper in her hand. "Mrs. Mason!" Becky said, forcing a smile, "How can I help you?"
Mrs. Mason smiled warmly at Eli but her face instantly went cold when her gaze returned to Becky. "Miss Weller, do you know what a period is?"
Becky blinked, then grinned. "Sure! It's a twelve minute quarter of a basketball game...I think they also have them in hockey."
Mrs. Mason's face was like stone. "As pertaining to school work," she said.
A cloud covered Becky's face and she frowned slightly, then the grin reappeared. "Oh, right! It's our time for classes. Like, your class is third period."
Mrs. Mason's eyes rolled towards heaven then shifted between Eli and Becky. How could such a gifted, wonderful student have such a clueless twin sister, she seemed to wonder. "Punctuation, Miss Weller, punctuation," she said, dropping the paper on the table in front of Becky. "That's the paper you turned in to me," she said as if that would explain everything.
Becky looked at the paper in confusion. "I use punctuation..." she said, "See! There's a period."
"I counted three through the entire 100 word paper."
"Oh...is that bad?"

Jasmine eyed the piece of lettuce on her plate and then the pieces of greasy pizza, her stomach grumbled loudly, "Ugh." she groaned, "Just looking at the pizza makes me sick to my stomach." she complained, hoping the other girls wouldn't recognize her hunger noise. She followed the girls to a table filled with jocks. She sighed inwardly, Andrew would never be at a table filled with jocks, he was supposed to be a nerd, wasn't he? She wondered if she should excuse herself and go sit with her siblings, "Uh..." she started to speak when one of the girls patted the seat next to her, "Okay." she said, sitting down next to her. She certainly didn't want to ditch her new friends on the first day and end up getting shunned for the rest of her stay here at Lincoln High. No one expeced them to find Andrew on the first day anyways, there were millions of strawberry blondes at the school, it wasn't like he was going to be walking around wearing a shirt that said, "Uktwakan" on it.
She flashed a smile at the blonde jock sitting across from her, "Hi." she said, poking at her piece of lettuce. She sat quietly while the other girls introduced her to everyone at the table. She jerked her head up in surprise as the blonde across from her was introduced as Andy. "Hey." she said again, keeping her eyes on 'Andy' and giving the rest of the table a small wave, "I'm Jasmine Knapp. I just moved here yesterday and you really don't want to hear the rest anways, do you." she laughed and started chatting animatedly with the girl next to her.
((She pulled her cell phone out of her back pocket and keeping it under the table she started to text Eli, the whole time keeping up the conversation with the girl next to her.
"one new text message. Jasmine Doyle - 513 - 224 - 582
eli, the guy acros frm me is called andy. wut do u think?? ((& isnt he beautiful?)) i am so hungry. i could eat your brains."))
OoC; And dude, Andy can't see what she's saying in the text, cause that'd make the roleplay boring. xD Eli can reprimand her for talking about the mission in front of everyone (even though it's in a text) or something.

Andrew gave the girl across from him a warm smile and a nod. Under the table he stomped Alan's foot to make him stop rib jabbing.
"How's it going," he said in response when they were introduced. He grinned at her inability to look away, enjoying the special attention, but in the back of his mind a red flag went up. She'd looked up so suddenly when he name had been said...almost as if it meant something to her. Of course, it just might've been a poor attempt at being coy...managing to look away until they were introduced, but years in the Ukwtakun had taught him never to dismiss anything. Instead he filed it away in his mind to see if anything else came of it.
Waiting until there was a break in the girls' conversation, Andrew leaned across the table and looked at Jasmine's plate. "Into health food are we?" he asked, sensing that she wasn't really crazy about her lunch. "Well, lucky for you, I happen to be an expert health food chef!" he said and pulled her plate across the table towards him. Picking up a piece of pizza from the box, he dropped it on top of the lettuce. "Vegetable, grain, dairy, protein..." he said, then reached in his backpack and pulled something out. "Now, for the finishing touch, the most important food group of all...chocolate." He propped up one side of the pizza with a snickers bar and pushed it back towards Jasmine.
"Voila! Health food a la Andy...I will be most disappointed if you don't eat it," he said, faking a sad face.

Jasmine giggled as she grabbed the snickers bar, "Ah, the most healthiest food ever. The chocolate bar." she unwrapped it, ignoring the looks the other girls were giving her, "Mmmm," she inhaled, letting the fumes of the chocolate reach the tip of her brain. "Where have you been all my life." she murmered to the snickers, taking a bite out of it.
"So, Andy." she said, putting the snickers bar down and eyeing the pizza, knowing that if she ate it the girls would probably hate her forever and the guys think her a pig, but Andy did say that he would be disappointed. She grinned, "Are you the number one jock here or something? Do I need to try out to be a cheerleader so I can talk with you?" she teased, glancing over at the other girls, they were glaring at her. Not a big surprise though, if he was actually Andrew, he was new here, which probably meant he was no one's guy yet and it was a free for all. She'd have to ask them about it later, if they were still speaking to her.
She glanced over at Elijah and Rebecca, she was probably just jumping to conclusions though. Wasn't Andrew supposed to be a nerd? She'd have to remind Eli to go hang out at the library after classes. That was where all the nerds hung out. "Nerds." she muttered, looking up at Andrew, "Do you like nerds? The candy, I mean." she laughed, recovering from her mistake smoothly, "I love the grape flavoured ones. That reminds me, my brother, well he's not really my brother, he's my foster brother. He's such a nerd." she pointed at Eli, "See him? Oh my gosh, I cannot believe that we live in the same house. He's always going around spouting random information that no one cares about." she rolled her eyes, "Oh and Rebecca, his twin sister, she's like this girl-jock or something. It's so annoying. She's always telling me I need to try out for track or basketball because I have long legs. I mean, can you see me running on a track?"she held up her perfectly manicured hands. It was all she could do to keep from gagging, this was what the thiry minutes in the bathroom had been about. Like all the other agents, she could take a shower and be out in a flash, but not when she was in the role of a prep.
"Uhhm, I'm getting full." she said, pushing the plate of pizza back, in truth her mouth was watering like crazy for the piece of grease. She's have to do some serious pigging out when she got home.

Andrew grinned. "Oh, you know, around," he said, knowing full well that she'd been talking to the chocolate bar, not to him.
He chuckled at her next comment, "Well, I guess it's a little late for that now, isn't it?" he said, "Considering you're already talking to me."
Biting into his pizza, he watched in amusement as Jasmine talked nearly non-stop. Some guys might've found it annoying but since Andrew was naturally pretty quiet he found it nice not to have to do much of the talking. "No, I definitely can't see you on the basketball team," he said once she slowed down, "Cheerleading, definitely, but basketball..." He just laughed.
During the pause that followed Andy took a drink of his gatorade, using the bottle as a sort of cover while he looked over at Jasmine's foster siblings. An odd combination, that was for sure...even odder that the jock girl and the super-nerd were twins. No matter though, he'd seen weirder things. It was just a good thing that Jasmine wasn't all buddy buddy with that one kid...whathisface...Eli. A smile cracked across Andrew's face as he remembered all the trouble they'd given him between first and second period.

Eli's only reply to Becky's question was a long sigh. He took another bite out of his pizza and made a face. "I miss the food at. . . our old school," he muttered miserably. He knew he should be setting an example for her, since she was a Junior Agent and all, but he could barely think about anything beyond his own problems just then.
He looked up, surprised, as Mrs. Mason joined them and started talking to Becky about her paper. Unable to help himself, he started laughing his head off. "Great going, sis," he said, smiling for the first time that day. Honestly, he figured she'd done it on purpose for the sake of the mission, but he still found it hilarious. Especially, he thought, the look Mrs. Mason had given Becky. At least the teachers like me, he thought, though it wasn't really something to bee very proud of in a regular high school.
He noticed one of the jocks staring at him--the blonde who Jasmine has said was called Andy--and shuddered.

Mrs. Mason looked at her student in exasperation. "Yes, it's very bad," she said, "I want to put you in tutoring."
Becky swallowed her pizza and shrugged. "Uh, okay. When is it and what do we do?"
"Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. You'll be paired with an AP student and-"
"Wait!" Becky squawked, "Then I'd be late for soccer practice..."
Mrs. Mason didn't seem concerned. "Well, if your grades don't improve very drastically very fast then you won't be eligible to compete in sports next semester. Might that justify being a few minutes late?"
Becky looked at her plate. "Yes, ma'am. Can I be paired with Eli?"
The teacher pursed her lips for a second and then shook her head. "Eli can help you at home. I think you need a new face to help you." She glanced at her watch. "Well, I've got to get ready for class. Goodbye Rebecca," then her smile broadened, "Goodbye Elijah."
As soon as the teacher was gone Becky's head rose and a grin spread across her face. Slowly she turned towards her brother. "What do you say we pay a visit to the teacher's lounge tonight and...eh, check up on a few things?" she said mischeviously.

Eli took a drink of his soda to hide his grin. He refused to look at her or respond until he was sure he could keep a straight face. When he did, he leaned close to her and whispered. "Ok, sure. But no more mentioning things out in the open, alright? If someone overhears. . ." he made a slitting motion across his throat and half-grinned.
He glanced over at the jocks again and shook his head. "Those guys," Elijah said, "are the devil incarnate. Seriously. What do they do, spend all their free time trying to think up ways to make guys like me miserable?"
Eli shook his head again. "So, how has your day been so far? Making lots of friends or what?" His eyes asked her what his mouth couldn't: if she'd spotted Andrew.

Jasmine watched as her new friends stood up to go to the bathroom, "Uh, I guess I'll wait here." she said in response to their invitation. Knowing very well what they wanted to talk about. "Next class is in 10 minutes right?" she confirmed with them. Turning back to Andy she winked, "Now I guess I'm a freak because I didn't go with them on their bathroom tour." she rolled her eyes, "Uh, what class do you have next? I have PE...Great." she muttered, glancing down at the piece of paper that the principal had given to her.

Becky closed her eyes and bit her tongue, suddenly realizing her slip up. It had seemed like they were safe here at their own table...but sometimes the walls really did have ears. Especially when the Ukwtakun was involved, or so she'd heard.
She followed Elijah's gaze towards the jocks, her face suddenly solemn. "And I'm not much better," she said softly, "Making fun of you the way I did." Her head turned so she could look him in the eye. "I'm sorry, Eli. I didn't intend it to be mean...I just..." Her gaze fell to the table.
Tapping her finger against her lip, she shrugged, "Jocky girls mostly. My English teacher hates me -as you saw- and my PE teacher loves me. Lotsa homework...they're trying to get me caught up." Then, noticing his look, she added, "Didn't meet anybody interesting though."

Eli shrugged and stared down at his plate as well. "Nah, it's okay. I just. . . being here," he caught himself before slipping up, "you know, at a new school, getting made fun of all over again. . ." He sighed. "It brings back memories of when I was little. You know, 'cause I actually sort of fit in before, at. . . Lakeview." He blurted the first name that popped into his head, then shrugged. It was hard to explain the situation without actually explaining. And that, of course, he couldn't do when people could overhear.
"I'll help you with homework if you want," he offered, still not looking up. "I mean, it's not like I'll be hanging out with anyone or anything, so I pretty much have all the time in the world." He tried not to sound too gloomy as he said this, and even looked up and offered her a small smile. "Plus you have sports and all."
Eli bit his lip and sighed. "If I didn't think I'd get beaten up for it," he said (which, in his own way meant "if the mission didn't call for me to be a total loser"), "I'd try out for track. Like at Lakeview, you know? I was faster than pretty much everyone." He sighed again and shook his head, then stood. "We should probably get to class. What do you have now?"

"Girls and bathrooms," Andrew said, shaking his head. He pulled out a pen and started doodling on the empty pizza plate.
Glancing down at his watch, he nodded. "Yep, ten minutes until the next class," he said, then his face paled as he thought of something. "Oh crap..." he muttered, "I forgot to finish my homework assignment. I've gotta go." He stood up and looked at Jasmine regretfully. "I'll catcha later then?" he said, tearing a sliver off the plate that he'd been drawing on.
He punched Alan in the shoulder playfully, nodded to the rest of his friends, then placed the piece of plate in front of Jasmine. He smiled, then left.

Becky pursed her lips and leaned her head on Eli's shoulder. She'd done it as Rebecca Weller, leaning her head on her twin in a sisterly way, but the second she did she felt her cheeks slightly redden. She almost lifted her head again, but anyone watching might wonder why she would feel awkward doing it to her brother so she forced herself to relax. She had to wait until it would be less obvious.
"I'd like that," she said, "I almost wish they'd put us a grade behind or something so we didn't have to worry about keeping up in school. For me it's not so hard, I'm a jock, I'm supposed to be stupid, but for you guys it's harder."
Lifting her head, she nodded, "I've got Calc next...nasty class that one. And I hear the teacher's super-strict." She gathered up her trash and stood to go to the trash-can but stopped. "And Eli..." she said, "Don't let those jerks get you down. If this was...Lakeview...you could beat them up any day of the week."

Eli swallowed but tried not to show how suddenly awkward he felt. "School's easy," he said, nodding. "So, I really don't care. Besides, Mom knows what she's doing us keeping us ahead. And you're not stupid, okay? Just because the other kids are doesn't mean you are. And, anyway, you're my sister so you can't be too dumb." He grinned at her, inwardly pondering how oddly protective of her he suddenly felt. Her comment about being stupid had bothered him for no reason. After all, she was just talking about the mission, wasn't she?
"I'm in AP Calc and it's no so bad," he said. "Mr. Corr is actually pretty cool. Anyway, I'll help you when we get home, okay?" He looked down when she made the comment about the jocks. "Yeah, well. . . this isn't Lakeview." With that, he turned and walked toward the trash cans on the other side of the room, wishing there was some way he could get there without passing the jock table where he saw the quarterback standing as well.

Jasmine snatched the piece of paper up and stuffed it into her pocket, she'd have to get to Rebecca as quickly as possible, she didn't know how good Rebecca's skills were and if she'd be able to get anything out of it. She was actually a little miffed with The Guardians for sending a Junior Agent on a mission like this. She thought about how much quicker it would go if they had a fully trained essencer, not that she knew of any others on campus. In truth, bringing in an adult wouldn't help because they would be more highly suspected.
Suddenly she sat up straight, realizing that Andrew could be a mind reader and reading every single thought she was having. She quickly tried to shut down her thoughts and think about other things, "Pizza. Snickers. Paper plates. Girls. Bathroom. Pee. Ew!" Jasmine jumped up from her seat and grabbed her tray, almost knocking one of the jocks in the head wth it. "Sorry, sorry." she apologized, heading for the trash bin. She was as bad as a new Junior Agent on their first mission. This reminded her of talking to Rebecca, so she swerved around a table full of Asian kids a headed towards Eli and Rebecca, she stopped suddenly when she saw the Junior Agent lean her head on Eli's shoulder, "Relax," she told herself, "They're supposed to be siblings. It's normal." she took a deep breath and continued on her way, "Hey, Becks, how's your day?" she asked, widening her eyes and looking towards the door. "I have something for you, but it's, uh, in my locker. Come with me?"
