Adelle Haynsworth leaned against her desk with arms folded, waiting for the four agents to come to her office to discuss the mission. She was sure they were at least in room 217 right now, reading the briefing, if they hadn't already finished.
She breathed deeply, checking her watch again. Patience had never been her strong suit. As dangerous as this mission could be, she was just ready to be off campus and going somewhere. She'd been there for the last few months, mostly filling out paperwork and writing mission briefings. She was ready to do something.
She absently tugged on her just past shoulder-length hair, which she'd dyed brown particularly for this mission. If only those kids would hurry, she thought impatiently as she checked her watch for the third time in the last minute alone.

Becky stepped into the room, casting a timid glance around to see who else was there. Much to her anxiety, the room's only other occupant was the much older Agent Haynsworth. She gave the adult agent a polite yet shy nod before finding a seat and staring out into space.
She'd been a Junior Agent for less that 24 hours and already she'd been assigned for a dangerous mission -what luck! Only a few hours before she'd been sitting in class, being stared at to her face and pointed at behind her back by all of her younger classmates. Oh! How wonderful the looks on their faces when she'd handed her next period's teacher a notice that excused her from class until further notice!
Becky shook her head slightly. It was stupid to be smug (undoubtedly she was chosen just because she was Noam's junior agent) and her mother wouldn't have approved. Yet, when she thought of those mocking faces suddenly draining with confusion...she couldn't help but smile.

Elijah was excited to be leaving the campus. Any change from the not entirely exciting life at the Guardian Campus was always welcome. And, being an active and outgoing person, Eli absolutely loved going on missions. He walked down the hallway with an extra bounce in his step, not caring who could see him. Honestly, if he had cared, he could have easily just turned invisible. The fact that he hadn't was proof that he honestly didn't care.
He thought about Rebecca as he headed for Adelle Haynsworth's office. He wasn't thinking about her in the way guys usually thought about girls--though, yes, she was very pretty--but instead, he was wondering why a Junior Agent was being allowed to go on a high-risk mission. True, Becky seemed nice enough, and smart, even. But she was a Junior Agent, fresh out of basic training, and Junior Agents were only allowed on high-risk missions under very special circumstances. No offense to her, but wouldn't she just be an extra person to look out for?
He shook his head as he reached the office, then walked in. He noticed Adelle first, leaning against her desk and looking a mixture between casual and impatient. He'd met her once before, when they'd been on a mission together, but he still didn't know her well. He looked over at the chairs in front of her desk, and saw Rebecca sitting there quietly. He looked back at Adelle. "Where is everybody?"

Jasmine bounced into the room, glancing around quickly, "Oh, you're all here!" she exclaimed, "Oh, wait, Noam isn't here. I saw him outside the cafeteria before I had my breakfast." she told no one in particular, "I am so glad for a mission, I was getting fed up with my history teacher, but I guess she'll just have alot of make up work piled up for when we get back." she chattered on, "I hope this is a nice long mission." she said, glancing at Adelle, "I mean, I hope the dude doesn't get assasinated or anything, but getting out of school is so lovely." She plopped down into one of the chairs next to Rebecca, "Hey, I saw you with Noam this morning, didn't I?" she asked, grinning at the girl next to her, "Whoa, you're a junior agent. You must have some major kick butt skills going on there to be going on this mission."
She looked at Elijah, "Yes, I did have a big bowl of coco puffs with extra sugar in the milk." she said, grinnig sheepishly at her best friend.
OoC; 'Scuse the hyperness. I dunno what to post. xD

Elijah merely stood there, grinning, as Jasmine rambled on and on, not even stopping to wait for a reply. When she made the comment about the cocoa puffs, he started laughing, and fell back into one of the chairs. "I couldn't tell," he told her, still laughing. "Really."
He looked over to Adelle. "Jasmine's right, though. I mean, it is kinda weird for a Junior Agent to be able to come on a high-risk mission." He gave Becky a sheepish grin. "No offense, of course. It's cool, just. . . weird." Turning back to Adelle, he added, "So, why is she allowed to come?"
||I don't wanna end up RPing with myself, but if no one posts by tonight or tomorrow (depending), I'll probably post with Adelle.||

Becky tilted her chin downward so that her hair would hide the deepening color in her cheeks. She was just as confused as the others were about being invited on this mission. Flattered, but confused. She didn't have any "kick butt" skills whatsoever, in fact, all her skills were stealth/defense related. Sure, she had some experience in martial arts and her skills gave her an edge there, but it was definitely not the same as having a flame or wind ability. Becky stared at her hands.

Adelle uncrossed her arms and rested her hands on the edge of the desk behind her. "Actually," she said, a trace of a smile on her lips, "Jasmine is exactly right. Rebecca here does have some 'kick butt skills' so to speak. Stealth is going to be one major component of this mission. Elijah and Rebecca both have skills that will make gathering information easier." Adelle nodded once, as if having decided that was an adequate enough answer, then looked down at her watch yet again. "Where is that boy?" She muttered under her breath.

Jasmine let out a low whistle, "Stealth, huh? That's pretty cool." she said, winking at Becky, "So, yeah, I'm sure we'll get to know each other better over the coming days or weeks or however long this mission takes." she shrugged, "You can call me Jazz or whatever you want."
"Anyways, I'm sure you'll be telling us the whole story when Noam gets here, but what kind of character will I be playing?" she asked, "I hope not a preppy chick." she rolled her eyes, "I am so sick of those."

||OOC: I'm sorry for the PowerPlay. Let me know if I should change it.|| Noam opened the door to the classroom, hurried and out of breath. He received the note only moments before he was supposed to have arrived and, of course, went to the wrong classroom on his way to this one. He peered in as he cracked the door, half expecting it to be the wrong room again. He saw Rebecca first and couldn't help but laugh to himself, My junior agent beat me to her first mission.
He saw Adelle at the desk and recognized her from a previous mission he had done as a junior agent. He heard her finish saying something about a boy and figured it was him since all the others had assembled and a smile crossed his face. "Hi, mom." He cheerily said before taking a seat at a corner from Elijah.
"Sorry, I'm late. Good news is my junior agent is grade A and made it here on time in my stead." He dropped his head not really figuring anyone except the all-hyper Jasmine to think his out of breath comment was funny... even she was questionable. "I hope I didn't miss anything."

||What powerplay? I didn't see anything wrong with the post, except they're not in a classroom. They're in Adelle's office, and just sitting in the four chairs in front of her desk.||
Adelle looked up from her watch as Noam walked into the room. "Ah, here he is," she said with a nod. "Took your time, hmm?" Even as she said this, her eyes were sparkling with laughter and the corners of her mouth were upturned in a smile.
"Now that Noam has decided to grace us with his presence," Adelle said, and shot him a pointed thought not angry look, "we'll begin." She pulled a notepad off of her desk and leafed through it before setting it back down again and looking at each of the agents in turn.
"We'll start with Jasmine's question, since you all need to know your new personalities anyway. Noam, you're going to be our problem child." She looked over at him and grinned, as if this gave her an immense amount of amusement. "You had a bad home life and your single mother got arrested for selling drugs and you got placed in foster care. We're your third family, and you don't really like us too much. You're a trouble-maker and proud of it. Got that?"
Without waiting for a reply, Adelle moved on to Elijah. "Elijah gets to be our quiet nerdy kid." Ignoring the boy's sigh, Adelle went on. "Andrew will likely be an outcast at the school, and likely will be in advanced classes. I want you to buddy up to him as much as you can." She glanced over at Noam. "It might be best for you and Noam to not be too chummy. Noam, maybe you can pick on Elijah a little at school, but within reason. Just don't be buddy-buddy, alright?"
"Rebecca, you are going to be the opposite of your 'twin brother.' You'll need to get in with the more popular crowd, but you'll also be heavily involved in sports if you think you can handle that. But, opposites or not, you two need to have a close relationship, if only in appearances. So, stick by each other, alright?"
"And last but not least," she said, looking over at Jasmine, "I'm sorry, Jasmine, but you've been placed as a prep again. We apparently need someone to try to. . . catch the attention of Andrew's male side." Adelle hid her laughter in a cough as she said this.
She shook her head, then looked around the group of agents. "The main objective, of course, is for each of you to, in your own way, try to get Andrew's attention or befriend him. I doubt he'll let any of you anywhere near his house without good reason, so if all else fails, Elijah can follow him inside one day. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Just work on getting his attention at first, alright?" She looked around the group again. "Any questions?"
||I did my best. . . let me know if you have any objections. And sorry it's so long.
I powerplayed Elijah a little 'cause he's my own character anyway and I didn't think it was a huge deal.||

Rebecca nodded, lacing her fingers and then cracking them. "A jock, eh? Well, I did my share of track and basketball back at the old highschool," she said with a smile. Then, remembering her situation, she pursed her lips and looked at her hands...though not quite so somberly as she had before.
Raising her eyes, she looked around at the small group. All were highly trained and experienced...except for her. A strong force, she just hoped that she wouldn't prove to be the weak link. One mistake on her part wouldn't just bring the mission crashing down, it would probably get them all killed.

||OOC: I had said Noam and Adelle had been on a mission together before. Just wanted to make sure everyone was ok with that|| "Problem child?" Noam nearly laughed as he thought of how much fun this position would be. He hadn't gotten into a real fight in a few years... of course compared to the training he got out on the obstacle course, a couple of half-wit normal humans would be too easy... Oh well He sighed Take what you can get.
"I can't see how you got that idea, maam. I do have a question, if I may." Noam looked up a moment before returning his gaze to their superior's eyes. "How low-profile is this mission? In the past we've always had a policy of low-profile, but if we stay too low profile then there's little chance this..." Noam paused searching his memory for the name on he paper "Andrew person even caring to meet us. On the other hand, Jasmine could catch more than just Andrew if she works too hard and I could easily end up being another drug lord." Noam considered that for a split second then continued, "Please excuse the exaggeration, but I would like to have some idea where my boundaries are."

Adelle nodded. "That's a good question, Noam. For the sake of the mission, you'll all need to find a way to fit in with your own cliques, but you should also focus on Andrew. This isn't a game, and you'll be expected to do more than just go to school and hang out with your friends. If you're invited to do something and you know for sure Andrew won't be there, it might be best to decline. However, don't say no all the time, or your new friends might get suspicious.
"And, in the case of Andrew, don't seem too pushy. Try to get his attention, but make it seem like you're just being yourself and he happens to be nearby. Elijah and Jasmine have the most chance in this case to go straight up to him and not seem too suspicious. But Elijah," Adelle looked over to the boy and made sure he was paying attention before continuing, "you need to be very mousy and skittish. Try not to approach Andrew unless you have a good reason, like a project you need a partner for or something."
She turned toward Jasmine, "Noam is right, and if you take things too far chances are you'll have guys all over you. Which is fine, to a point. You know campus rules, and they apply to this mission. If I hear about any improper conduct, you'll be in some hot water. Try to stick to flirting, ok? And no pretend boyfriends, unless by chance it happens to be Andrew.
"As for the drug lord bit, Noam, allow me to remind you that if you or any of your 'siblings' here get involved with drugs or alcohol, you're out. And I'm sure none of you want that, so use your brains." Looking from one agent to the other, Adelle nodded. "Any more questions?"
||Again, let me know if I should change anything.
We need to find out who will be playing Andrew. I was thinking, if no one wanted to role play him, he could be a character we all control, but if someone wants to be him that's great.||

Aside from his quiet sigh, Eli hadn't made a sound the whole time. It figured, he thought, that he'd end up playing the part he was worst at. Just because he was invisible, everyone expected him to be some shy freak kid. He knew it wasn't fair to say or even think that, but it irritated him nonetheless. He wanted to ask if he and Noam could trade, but he knew they couldn't. The 'parts' they'd been given to play made sense, but that didn't mean he had to like them.
"Am I allowed to dress decently, or do I have to do the whole button-up shirt, pants pulled up as high as they go, nerdy glasses thing?" He blurted, unable to stop himself. "'Cause I'll die, seriously." Though he'd made it sound somewhat like a joke, Elijah begged silently for Adelle to say he could dress however he wanted, within reason. He sighed again and slumped back in his chair. All he could think was he was going to so get beat up and get his head shoved in a number of toilets. Thinking of this, he added, "And can I fight back if guys try to mess with me?"
||Sorry, but I had to post with Eli. He wouldn't let me not. ||

Becky bit her lower lip, trying hard not to smile. Elijah dressed like a nerd...now that would be a sight to see. The mental image made a giggle rise up in her throat that she had to cover up with a cough. "What's wrong, Eli? I think you'd look adorable with your hair slicked and parted down the middle, or even a few inches shorter. Besides, I hear pocket protectors are all the rage these days," she said, ducking away from her new "twin" in case he didn't appreciate her commentary. Then her face turned serious and she looked at Adelle. "So, um, what's our backstory for being there? Did we just move there or are we transferring from a different school or...? And are we starting on the first day of school or mid-year?" She felt a bit self-conscious asking so many questions but figured it better to be over-informed than to be missing some important information. ||I'm willing to play Andrew if nobody else wants to. ||
