||ooc - I'm pretty sure he asked for a response. No one spoke out of turn.|| BIC "OK." Lokai responded, no emotion in his straight face. "Have it as you wish. You are all dismissed for today. As Ms. Valkyrie just found herself in family problems, she will no longer be your combatives trainer. As the new combatives trainer, I will see you in twenty minutes in the pool room. You are free to do as you please until then. I suggest you use that time to chose a leader, if that is what you wish. Whatever your decision, I expect that you will be much more uniform tomorrow. I wouldn't bother showering before training tomorrow. You'll be plenty wet by the time all is done." Lokai walked off, realizing that he had not dismissed the trainees. He didn't really care if they left or not. They could get off easy today, but he would remind them. "Dismissed!" He yelled over his shoulder. They ought to be able to remember to wait for his dismissal from now on.

||Ok. But I'm pretty sure Valkyrie quit the site. . . and no one's taken over her characters. So, you might need to edit. Or something.||
Enoch rolled his eyes as the man walked away. These Guardians were just about the most ridiculous people he'd ever had contact with. Of all Ukwtakun, why was I selected for this stupid mission? He knew the answer, of course; his powers could fool the "mighty" Door. But still, he wished he'd been given a mission of some importance rather than. . .
"Every mission is important, and if you have even the slightest doubt about our cause, you are a failure!" His old trainer's voice rang in his ears and he sighed, resisting the urge he had to either walk away right then and there or start screaming at the stupid brats around him. he turned to face them, trying to seem like a normal Guardian recruit. Still, he couldn't keep an edge from entering his voice. "I vote Jake." As he said this, Enoch glared at Natalie. "Who's next?"

Kyle sat down near the group, his dark eyes eagerly taking in everything there was to see. Though, inconspicously, he had gone through the training with the others, there wasn't even a small sign he had exerted himself. This was mostly do to the fact that he had cheated on several of the more severe obstacles. Now that the training for the day was over, though, it appeared to be that the others were voting on a leader-of-sorts.
In his silent observance-something quite new for him-he found that the one called Jake, who suggested they have a leader. The girl named Tali went and cast her vote for the girl called Natalie. Another in the group named Enoch had voted Jake. "I vote for Tali." Kyle said with enthusiasm. He hadn't paid attention to how well she did in the course, but already he knew Natalie would drive him insane, and he would gladly return the favor. Jake, the only other person with a vote cast for them, seemed decent compared to Natalie, but her had no idea what he was like. Tali seemed to be the best choice so far. He only hoped she wouldn't be too strict.
((Sorry! I edited it.))

||Actually, Jake was the one who suggested it, not Tali.||
Tali looked up, astonished. "Me?" She blurted, incredulous. Who was this boy, and why in the world would he be voting for her as leader. She swallowed, hard, and looked down at her lap. At the rate we're going, she thought, Everyone's going to vote for someone different, then we'll never have a leader. She sighed inwardly, risking a glance around the group. Tali wondered what would happen if she or someone else were made leader instead of Natalie. Would the other girl hate whoever was leader, and make life miserable for everyone? Or would she be even remotely helpful, despite the circumstances? Tali doubted the latter was very likely, but decided to hope anyway.
||Lame, but hopefully it'll get us moving.
MEL, YOU BETTER POST, OR. . . *raises fist* XD||

Natalie rolled her eyes at Kyle, "Good job, mate." she said, "Since I can't vote for myself, I'll vote for Tali, because she's been here the longest and her dad was a good agent." she said, glaring at Tali. "Even though she can't jump those tiny hurdles." She turned to Jake, "I suggest you start running some extra laps and practicing your pushups, even though it kills you at first." she glanced at his hair, "You waste enough time fixing your perfect hair, anyways."
OoC; Sorry, short

Enoch groaned. Why in the world was everyone voting for Tali? She was just a girl and, as Natalie had said, she couldn't even jump the hurdles. Who cared if her father had been a good agent? That didn't make her a good one.
He leaned over to whisper to Jake. "This is ridiculous. Why is everyone voting for a mere girl?"
||Short, but someone needed to post.||

Jake shrugged his shoulders, "Dude, they're hott, who cares." he shrugged, glancing over at the girls, "I vote for Natalie." he said, "She's been through this before and I think she'd be a good leader as long as she kept a civil tongue in her head and was kind to all of us, because I'm sure she has her weaknesses as well that she'll want us to help her with." he looked her in the eyes, "Am I correct?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Look, I think we all got off to a bad start, I think we should all introduce ourselves and shake on it." he smiled nervously, "I'll start. I'm Jake Thomas and I've only been here for a few months. Alot of people told me that I should wait for another 6 months before I joinned basic training, but I thought, I might as well try and fail rather than not try at all. I hope I don't jepordize any of you passing because I'm a crummy trainee." he shrugged, "Who's next?"

Tali watched Jake with an intent curiosity as he spoke. When he finished, she waited, hoping someone else would speak up. Finally, after swallowing repeatedly, she spoke. "Um, I guess I'll go." She swallowed again and fidgeted a little. "I'm Tali and I've lived on campus almost my whole life. My dad--" her voice cracked and she bit her lip, hard. "Um, my dad was an Agent. A really good one, like Natalie said. And I. . . I want to be as good as he was someday." She shrugged, staring at a spot on the ground rather than at her fellow trainees.
After a long moment, she looked up and added, "Do we have to vote again? Since it's a tie, I mean?"

((Ooh, kk. Thanks. Sorry ^_^'))
Ooh! Kyle nearly jumped up, eager for the oppurtunity to talk. Sitting down and being quiet while others sat and talked was never much fun for him. Before he could say anything though, Tali introduced herself, and a verse regarding patience that Kyle's mother always quoted ran through his head. When Tali was finished, Kyle raised his head and, in the same motion, stood up; his feet briefly disappearing beneath the ground.
"I'm-Kyle, I've-been-here-a-few-months-now, as-far-as-I-know-my-parents-are-normal, never-met-people-like-you-all-before, and-as-for-voting-again-it-doesn't-matter-to-me. Who-are-our-nominees, though?" he said in a singe breath before sitting back down for the next person to speak.

Natalie rolled her eyes, "This is stupid." she sighed, "I'm Natalie, I've been here a long time and as you know, failed basic training because I broke my arm. I know I can be a brat sometimes, but I really would like to see you all get through basic training, about as much as I'd like to get myself through it." she shrugged her shoulders, "Even if you don't pick me to be your leader, I'll still try to help you guys out as much as I can." she looked at Tali, "Truce?" she offered her hand to the girl, "I'm sorry I was rude to you yesterday and made comments about your hurdle jumping."
She cleared her throat, as if embarrassed for being so open, "Anyways, we should head over to the training pool. Mr. Sir will be waiting to drown us in the horrible pool." she shuddered, "The pool is probably one of the hardest of all the basic training, because that's where the most accidents can happen." she looked around, "I'm actually a bit afraid of it, so I'm sorry, but I won't be much help around the pool." she grimaced, "I can swim though." she said, making sure that no one would think her stupid.
OoC; I say we head to the pool and continue this convo there. Just to keep things moving.
